I was so pleased with the pallet construction that I decided to build a workshop/tool-shed using a similar method. As it’s a workshop I was happier to use more functional reclaimed materials and didn’t need such a high spec finish which saved a lot on material costs. The differences with this one were that I used posts/ postcreted 4 feet deep in the ground and reclaimed cross beams from a house for the foundations. For the insulation I used Celotex rather than roll insulation and I finished the exterior with feather edge cladding and built a large wooden door again clad in the feather edge. I used a UPVC window for natural light. As before, I had the interior wired up with its own box for power and lighting, put laminate floor over the floorboards to keep it tidy. The walls are simply an OSB finish which is fine for its purpose.
