About Us

We build everything from the ground up starting with solid foundations.

Take a look at some of the examples we’ve built which detail the entire process of some of our constructions from start to finish.

From these step by step pictures you could of course give it a crack yourself, but it’s skilled work, hard effort and of course time consuming if you’ve not done it before and do not have the tools of the trade at your disposal.

If you have the desire and want to learn I can teach you how to build as we construct so you can do it yourself next time around. Almost all builders are self-taught, learning from other professionals and through time and experience of doing the work itself.

I have learnt my own skills and craft over many years working with my father and many other such professionals. I’ve learnt skills directly, from osmosis and these days even useful videos on YouTube. I’ve had the fortune of making many mistakes (or learning experiences) and having to think on my feet and around interesting problems.

Making things well is about workmanship skills, but more importantly I feel it’s about planning, due care and attention to detail; taking pride in everything you build.

Everything I make I do with the primary objectives of it suiting its purpose and standing the test of time. Despite the obvious difficulties of this type of work, I genuinely enjoy the construction process as I get to see a space transformed entirely from start to finish from nothing. Some view this as a laborious task but I view it as an exciting creative adventure!

Everything we do we try to minimise our impact as much as possible on the natural environment. This can also save you a lot of money! Obviously building and landscaping works can be a dirty business so we always try to plan out a project with this in mind minimising our impact from the outset. It seems obvious but by taking care of what you already have installed, simply by repairing, painting and weather sealing it, is often the smartest course of action. Increasing the longevity of your structures is also the best thing you can do environmentally.

We recycle and reuse everything we can in the building process right down to the pallets that materials arrive on. This wood is already pre-treated, can be cut to length, painted and put to other use. Sometimes even the nails in the pallets can be reused.
